Sometimes we see a bird who just likes to be admired. That was the case with this heron that visited on Sunday night.

He made sure that we had a portfolio:
I compared him to one we photographed at the same place a few weeks ago but I can't tell much since the evening light was more golden.
Other birds hung out:
An osprey flapped madly, both claws full. This unidentified little guy zipped past so fast I don't know how we caught him. And a sweet little cedar waxwing stood by.
Quiet evening light to soothe the soul.
