Old Man Winter

I am not a native of Canada nor did I ever live in an area with regular, prolonged winter weather. Consequently I've had little experience romancing the photography of ice and snow. We've had constant snow present since November, so this has been my year to embrace the challenge of winter art.

Sometimes the view is sheer minimalist:

Other times, the more colors emerge:

On a bright day, Winter is seductively warm.

There are subtleties to capture and activities to observe:

Winter can be fearsome or delicate. It requires appreciation and deep acceptance.

I keep working to capture its beauty.
