NOSTALGIA

The rains have come and outdoor time is limited to a little here and a little there. And yet, there is always something to observe in nature.

This gorgeous stand of dried teasel --

--- shelters this busy little person who just barely squeezed in enough time for a snap or two!

The rays of the sun are long, evoking thoughts of time come and time gone ---

--- while there are still a few flowers to be seen.

We should be thankful for the rain. The water in the wetland/creek is so very low

Not long ago, all of this was green and marshy.

And now it's so dry that a dog who hates wet feet can prance through it.

The tent moths have had their way.

And where we first saw flocks of geese, we see a grasshopper on dry rock. basking in the slanting rays of autumn.

Nostalgia.
