Turns out that geese, heron, and egrets are just like people. The bad guy, the winged Jack Palance, gives a leisurely swing through town and the surface of the water clears like magic.
The mothers call their children close.
"Oh, no! I can't look!" Or maybe I can't not look?
And after it's all over, the townspeople have a good natter.
