Eagle Eyed!

Craig and I went is search of the Osprey we followed last summer. There has been some Spring cleaning at the nest site, but just down the road we found this guy (or gal).

This is a long distance shot taken on a dark, rainy March day.

Same bird, same day, but I was able to move much closer for this shot. It seemed odd to look up the eagle's nose.

I tried some different procedures, letting the camera choose the ISO. What I wouldn't give for a 500mm prime lens.
