Imagine two flocks of geese: The first flock -- the white-breasted -- graze on the side of a gentle slope that leads to a small pond. The second -- the dark-breasted -- alight on the ridge above the pond.
A guardian of the first flock raises his head, suddenly alert ---
Satisfied that a potential threat encroaches, he notifies his second.
And together they alert the white-breasted flock.
The threat is gathered on the ridge above them. But - they seem to be not too scary, Perhaps they just want a turn at the pond. So a delegation trudges up the hill to discuss terms.
They reach the top ---
And behold! A mob.
Despite differences in coloration, the first flock soon politely made room for the second. A lesson for us all.
