DEER! OH DEAR! MORE DEER!

I have never seen more deer in one place in my life than I have seen on Wolfe Island. Sometimes we see only one ---

At first. But soon many more become visible.

On one late afternoon trip around a single concession we counted more than 200 deer. And we counted as many the next night.

Mostly they are just watchful. Then they get startled and off they go!

Oops! One fell behind! But she soon caught up.

With the exception of cars, they don't seem so afraid of human dwellings and devices.

And they're always eating. Yum! Must taste good!
