Young things are so cute when they're little -- and then they grow a bit. Hit that awkward stage.

Some of them are still pretty cute, like these guinea fowl

She's saying, "Ain't I adorable?"

These two scurried across my path

But later, one of them consented to a closeup. (I think she just wanted me to shoot her good side.)

But this poor boy's having the bad hair day to end all bad hair days --- and the girls aren't letting him hear the end of it.

Just proves that human adolescents aren't the only ones to suffer growing pains.
