A MURDER OF CROWS

Crows, being completely black, are really difficult to photograph. Everything just melts together into an animated blop.


However, the crows at Warren G. Magnuson Park in Seattle were extremely cooperative and photogenic. Voici en!

We watched him fly in, the wind catching him crosswise.

He was a bit stand-offish at first, as were his friends ---

But then, he and his buddies decided that our presence wasn't adequate intimidation to keep them away from food.

In the end, they dined, then flew off cawing to each other.

We didn't have the sense to come in out of the rain; We just stood there getting soaking wet, entranced by their antics.
